Dear family and friends,

We wanted to share something meaningful that’s been on our hearts for the past year. We’ve launched a nonprofit called CORE (Community of Real Engagement), and we’re excited to invite you into it.

CORE’s mission is to help families and communities create more opportunities for real, in-person connection—and to support a shared commitment around two simple ideas:

  1. Delaying social media for kids until age 18

  2. Keeping social settings for kids screen-free

This started from our personal experience as parents. Like many families, we’ve seen both the benefits and the challenges that come with technology. We found ourselves wanting more space for genuine connection—time with friends, unstructured play, and meaningful conversation—without screens getting in the way.

We also know every family is navigating this differently. CORE isn’t about judgment—it’s about creating a community where families who are interested in this approach can support one another.

We hope to create opportunities to gather, relax, play, and connect in ways that feel natural, healthy, and fulfilling for both kids and adults. We offer practical resources and guidance to help families navigate technology in a safe and intentional way.

If this resonates with you, we’d love for you to be part of it. You can:
